What is Pinweel? Pinweel is a free group photo sharing service that connects people and their pics through group albums. So, say you’re out for the night with your friends and a bunch of you are taking photos on your phones. If you’re all Pinweel users, the entire group can see what everyone is taking in real time, right on your phones. It’s simple to use and, well, wonderfully addicting. Why Pinweel? You know what it’s like: After an event like a birthday party, where you saw a bunch of people taking pics, you then have to badger your friends to share those pics. “Can you remember to email me a few shots?” “When are you going to post them on Facebook?” What a pain. With Pinweel, your pics and your friends’ pics are shared instantly, the moment they’re taken. Pretty cool, huh? Need to Contact Someone at Pinweel? What Privacy Controls Does Pinweel Offer? Pinweel offers three, easy-to-set group album privacy levels:
Is Pinweel Available For Android Users? Not yet, but it’s coming. After we’ve perfected the iPhone version, we’ll start work on a Pinweel app for Android phones.
How Much Does the App Cost? The best things in life are free, my friend, and Pinweel is one of them.
Can I Share Photos from my Camera Roll? You bet! When you’re in a group album, just hit the button to the left of the camera (it looks like a stack of pages) to access your camera roll and begin uploading.
Does Pinweel Offer Any Cool Photo Filters? Do we! We’ve got a bunch of nifty ways to give your photos a different look, from a classic black white filter we call “1943” to a punchy color favorite named “1987,” plus a lot more others. Some add white borders, others will give your pics grain and texture.
What Versions of the iPhone Can Use Pinweel? At the moment Pinweel works on 3GS, 4, and 4S models.

Can I Turn Off Pinweel’s Push Notificiations? You sure can. Just go into your phone’s settings, and then click on “Notifications” to turn off Pinweel’s push messages.
Can I Print My Photos? Of course. All of your photos shot through the Pinweel app are saved to your camera roll. Just sync your computer and print away.
Can I Share Pinweel Photos on Facebook and Twitter? Sure can, throughout the app you will be able to share your photos right to your Facebook wall or Tweet directly to your Twitter feed. |
